Who We Are
Laure joined HPI in July 2017. As an Operations Assistant, she is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of HPI, supporting the Human Resource Department, and supporting the larger operations team.
With 8+ years of experience in commercial real estate and event management, Jordan comes to HPI with a Tenant & Employee Relations background. Jordan has overseen the planning and execution of various events, tours, builds and activities for tenants and clients at multiple properties. These events include happy hours, wellness programs, holiday parties, and networking sessions. Jordan has also been responsible for the communication and feedback between tenants and Property Management, ensuring all around satisfaction and loyalty. Some of the skills that Jordan has used and developed in her role include teamwork, creativity, resilience, styling, and loyalty. With a degree in Merchandising and Marketing from Oklahoma State University, Jordan is passionate about creating memorable and enjoyable experience for people through her work. With an in-depth training through the Ritz Carlton White Glove Service Department, Jordan has a unique opportunity to bring new ways to enhance the culture and communication of every client, tenant, and employee we all come in to contact with and continue to deliver exceptional service and value to all.
Kailey brings over 15 years of experience in commercial real estate to her role as General Manager at Signature Exchange. Before joining HPI, she spent seven years with Fortis Property Group managing The Colonnade, a prestigious Class A office property in Addison TX. Kailey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising Management from Southern Methodist University and maintains an active real estate license. Kailey is also actively involved in BOMA Dallas, staying connected with industry peers.
Outside of her professional life, Kailey cherishes spending time with her two children, Parker and Madison. She also enjoys connecting with friends and exploring new restaurants and experiences in her free time.
Mary Jane Orosco has been with HPI since its founding in November 1992. As Executive Office Manager, Mary Jane is responsible for assisting HPI’s founding partners with the day-to-day operations of HPI. With experience in all product types, investments, acquisitions, and developments, she has been instrumental to HPI’s growth over the past twenty-six years. Prior to HPI, Mary Jane worked with the founding partners at Trammell Crow Company in Austin for five years. Mary Jane is a true Austin local, wife, mother of one, and grandmother of two.
Jeff Pace leads the HPI Tenant Advisory team. His diverse real estate experience in leasing, development, investment sales and asset management enable creative and flexible client solutions.
Jeff has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate. During this time he has negotiated leases representing over 8 million square feet valued in excess of $1.4 billion. Additionally, Jeff has overseen the acquisition/disposition of over 3 million square feet of office projects valued over $600 million, the development of our 2.5 million square feet of Class “A” office projects and provided asset management oversight for 6 million square feet of office projects.
Throughout his career, Jeff has served as both principal and advisor, assisting institutional, corporate and other real estate companies on their real estate strategies.
As the Office Project Partner, Richard is responsible for overseeing HPI’s Austin office portfolio. To date, he has been instrumental in the development and lease execution of over 1 MM square feet of Class A office assets. As a fifteen year veteran of HPI, Richard has consistently been recognized as a leader among the Austin brokerage community. He has the skill-set and knowledge to perform at every level, and the experience to serve both large, institutional investors (Invesco, Spear Street Capital, Prudential and TA Realty) to local property owners. Before joining HPI in September 2002, Richard worked for five years as a sales manager in the high-tech industry. From 1995 through 1997, he worked for a property management company in Teton Village in Jackson, Wyoming. Richard is a Houston native and earned a degree in business administration from the University of Texas in Austin.
As President, Cynthia brings HPI her experience and expertise in business management and finance to all aspects of commercial real estate. Prior to joining HPI, Cynthia worked for over 8 years at Dell, Inc. in various departments and financial roles. She served as a Senior Consultant in Investor Relations, a Finance Manager for Technical Support ($200M budget), and Corporate Forecasting roles ($22B budget). Cynthia also previously worked in public accounting, and served as the Office Manager for Gallery of Homes Real Estate in Austin, overseeing accounting and business operations for their real estate sales, leasing, management, and maintenance businesses.
Connie joined HPI in December 2015 when HPI purchased Ross Tower, a Class A office high-rise in Downtown Dallas. After 18 years of successfully managing Ross Tower before HPI purchased the asset, she was on-boarded to HPI based on her proven performance. Connie is responsible for conducting building inspections, overseeing tenant move-in and move-outs, ensuring insurance compliance, vendor contract management, budget reporting, and tenant communications. She manages a team of assistant property managers, concierge services, construction managers, building engineers, and security personnel.
From a young age, Tristan Rehrig was captivated by the vibrant art and design scene in his hometown of Austin, Texas. This inspired him to hone his artistic talents throughout his upbringing and pursue a career in Visual Communication. After several years of extensive freelance graphic design and illustration experience while obtaining his Associate’s Degree in Visual Communication at ACC, and a year of corporate graphic design experience with International Gaming Technology, Tristan joined HPI in November 2023 as the Marketing Coordinator for the HPI Tenant Advisors. Since joining HPI, Tristan’s dedication and graphic design expertise have significantly contributed to the success of both the HPI Tenant Advisors and the broader HPI team, earning him the Rookie Award in Q1 2024.
Krista is responsible for assisting with lease negotiations and asset positioning strategies across HPI’s Austin office portfolio. She also focuses on business development initiatives and providing best-in-class service to existing clientele. Prior to joining HPI in December 2021, Krista was the Director of Business Development at Chicago-based architecture firm, Solomon Cordwell Buenz where she was responsible for developing and executing the firm’s overall strategy for identifying, assessing, and securing new business opportunities in the Chicago office market. She has a proven track record of building long-term relationships, generating leads, and cultivating prospect pipelines. Krista holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is a new member of the Commercial Brokers Association of Austin.
Misty joined HPI in 2020, with over 8 years of experience in the industry and proven track record of successfully managing commercial Office, Industrial & Retail properties. Responsible for daily operations, financial reporting, preparation of budgets, reconciliations, and vendor management, providing strong communication skills and the ability to effectively resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Takes a hands-on approach to provide top-notch services to both property owners and tenants. Outside of work, Misty enjoys spending time with her family on the Baseball field cheering on her sons, Jadon & Mason.
Tim Shaughnessy joined HPI to grow its residential platform through the launching of HPI Multifamily. As President of HPI Multifamily, he is focused on sourcing ground up multifamily development opportunities, primarily in major Texas metros, as well as managing all aspects of development, financing, and asset management for HPI’s multifamily division. Prior to HPI, Tim served as Managing Director at Oden Hughes where he supervised a team on all aspects of development including site selection, entitlements, underwriting, design, construction management, and asset management. At Oden Hughes, he successfully led the development of over 4,000 units across Texas and contributed to the development and asset management of properties valued at more than $1 billion. He is a member of RECA, ULI, and the Cornell Real Estate Council. Tim earned his Master’s of Real Estate from Cornell University, and earned his Bachelor’s in Economics & Urban Planning from the University of Pittsburgh. He enjoys sailing, hunting, fishing, and hiking in the Hill Country.
Robert joined HPI’s Industrial Property Management team in June of 2022. He has 6 years of Property Management experience and has obtained his RPA and FMA. He has represented owners for Class A Office Buildings and Industrial Portfolios. He is most proud of the relationships he has built with tenants, owners and contractors. Robert’s current portfolio includes 2 million sf of industrial and flex office space. Robert is a 4th generation Austinite who has also worked in Chicago and Los Angeles. He is an active CPM Candidate with the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).
Jake, a true Austinite through and through, developed an unwavering passion for the vibrant city of Austin from an early age. His collegiate journey commenced at Austin Community College, where he not only pursued his studies but also showcased his skills as a semi-pro tight end for the Cedar Park Punishers. After a season with the Punishers, Jake embarked on a new chapter, choosing to transfer to Texas State University. After a three-year tenure in San Marcos, he proudly returned home upon graduating from the McCoy College of Business.
During his time as a student, Jake served as the sole intern for the HPI Multifamily team for over two years. This invaluable experience served as the launching pad for his subsequent full-time role with the very same team, commencing in the Fall of 2023.
Within his current role, Jake assumes a pivotal position overseeing site evaluation and selection process. Additionally, he provides support in asset management, construction management, acquisitions, underwriting, and various other financial aspects integral to the multifamily business.
In his free time, you will typically find Jake on the golf course or cheering on his beloved hometown Longhorns at the iconic DKR Memorial Stadium. Jake also enjoys fishing, hunting, recreational football and basketball, listening to live music, and lake days.
In April 2020, Ruth joined HPI as General Manager directly responsible for the operations and property management to HPI Management’s downtown office building at 301 Congress. She brings a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of property management, including a reputation for exceptional service to her clients and tenants, and experience leading high performing teams. Prior to joining HPI, Ruth served as Senior Property Manager for Fortis Property Group out of New York with Class A suburban office projects in North Austin servicing clients such as Q2, Ping Identity and LDR/Zimmer Biomet. Her knowledge and knack in the real estate industry was developed through varying roles including property management and project management. Throughout her career, Ruth has managed a multitude of tenant and capital improvement construction projects and had the opportunity to assist in the management and oversight of challenging projects that have allowed her the ability to expand in her role.
John is a Dallas native and an analyst on HPI’s Dallas leasing team specializing in office assets. He graduated in May 2023 from The University of Oklahoma Price College of Business, where he earned a major in finance and a minor in management information systems. Outside of work, John has a passion for outdoor activities, including golfing, hunting, and fishing, and is a dedicated supporter of Oklahoma football. John is an active member of the Sooner Club, as well as TREC and NTCAR organizations.
As the Industrial Partner, Andy Thomas leads all industrial development and investment for HPI. Andy also directly oversees a management and leasing team of 60 people, with an active portfolio of over 12 Million square feet of institutionally and privately-owned industrial assets across Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio. Through 20 years, Andy has been directly involved in acquisitions, dispositions, and financing of industrial projects with a total asset-value of over $1 Billion. Industrial developments led by Andy have totaled over 10 Million square feet, including Airport Commerce Park, Davis Springs Corporate Center, and most recently Freeport Technology Center and Hays Logistics Center. Andy began his career with Colliers, Turly, Martin & Tucker in Kansas City working as an industrial broker directly under the firm’s managing partner. He moved to Austin to join HPI in 2000.
Will, a Dallas native, moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas. During his time at the University of Texas, Will was an active member of several on campus organizations including the University of Texas Real Estate Society. After his time at the University of Texas, Will decided to stay in Austin and pursue a career in real estate. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time outside fishing, hunting, climbing and cooking for friends. He is a member of the Texas Exes and a National Outdoor Leadership School Alumni.
As the Director of Storage Acquisitions, Jonathan leads all acquisition efforts for HPI’s self-storage platform within the Strategic Investments initiative. Prior to joining HPI in 2020, Jonathan most recently served as Vice President of Acquisitions for Leon Capital Group, where he was responsible for site selection and acquisitions for the company’s self-storage platform. During his time with Leon, Jonathan sourced over 1.5M square feet of self-storage projects nationwide. Prior to Leon, Jonathan worked for a private real estate investment firm, where he was an integral part of the self-storage acquisitions team for one of the largest and fastest growing self-storage operators in the country. Jonathan holds a finance degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Master of Laws (LL.M.) degrees from the University of Miami School of Law. Jonathan is a licensed attorney in the state of North Carolina.
