Who We Are
As the Industrial Partner, Andy Thomas leads all industrial development and investment for HPI. Andy also directly oversees a management and leasing team of 60 people, with an active portfolio of over 12 Million square feet of institutionally and privately-owned industrial assets across Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio. Through 20 years, Andy has been directly involved in acquisitions, dispositions, and financing of industrial projects with a total asset-value of over $1 Billion. Industrial developments led by Andy have totaled over 10 Million square feet, including Airport Commerce Park, Davis Springs Corporate Center, and most recently Freeport Technology Center and Hays Logistics Center. Andy began his career with Colliers, Turly, Martin & Tucker in Kansas City working as an industrial broker directly under the firm’s managing partner. He moved to Austin to join HPI in 2000.
Will, a Dallas native, moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas. During his time at the University of Texas, Will was an active member of several on campus organizations including the University of Texas Real Estate Society. After his time at the University of Texas, Will decided to stay in Austin and pursue a career in real estate. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time outside fishing, hunting, climbing and cooking for friends. He is a member of the Texas Exes and a National Outdoor Leadership School Alumni.
As the Director of Storage Acquisitions, Jonathan leads all acquisition efforts for HPI’s self-storage platform within the Strategic Investments initiative. Prior to joining HPI in 2020, Jonathan most recently served as Vice President of Acquisitions for Leon Capital Group, where he was responsible for site selection and acquisitions for the company’s self-storage platform. During his time with Leon, Jonathan sourced over 1.5M square feet of self-storage projects nationwide. Prior to Leon, Jonathan worked for a private real estate investment firm, where he was an integral part of the self-storage acquisitions team for one of the largest and fastest growing self-storage operators in the country. Jonathan holds a finance degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Master of Laws (LL.M.) degrees from the University of Miami School of Law. Jonathan is a licensed attorney in the state of North Carolina.
Originally from Dallas, Michael made his way to Austin as a student at The University of Texas. While earning his Bachelor’s Degree, Michael established himself as an active member of the University’s community. Michael served as President of the men’s fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon, supported abuse victims by coordinating fundraising for Safe Alliance, and established the Mental Wellness Committee amongst his peers at UT. Since joining the HPI Tenant Advisors team in 2021, Michael has completed over 40 lease transactions spanning over 1.3 million SF of office and industrial space. Prior to becoming a Tenant Advisor with HPI, Michael served as intern with the tenant representation team at CBRE and as an associate at NAI Partners. Michael consistently serves as a fiduciary to his clients, guiding them through their office and industrial facility needs. Currently a member of the CBA and Texas Exes, Michael is actively involved in the commercial real estate and business communities both in and out of the office. Michael enjoys spending his free time in the gym, on the golf course, and serving at Austin Ridge Bible Church.
Brooks started with HPI in 2022. As Vice President of Asset Management, he is responsible for fund modeling, portfolio and asset management, as well as overseeing the development pipeline for the Strategic Investments Platform. Brooks started his career at EY, where he worked on the Real Estate Strategy and Transactions team, gaining valuable experience and knowledge in the field. He then moved on to work as an Asset Manager at Virtus Real Estate Capital, where he was responsible for managing and overseeing a $1.5B portfolio on the alternative multifamily team, which included workforce housing, student housing, self-storage, and education related assets. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a focus on finance and real estate, from the University of Georgia. In his free time, Brooks enjoys golfing, the outdoors and spending time with his friends and family.
Linda joined HPI in January 2001. As the Office Manager, she is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of HPI, coordinating employee benefits, and supporting the larger operations team.
