Who We Are
Courtney joined HPI’s Dallas’ property management team in 2020. She is currently the General Manager at Douglas Center and has over 10 years of commercial property management experience. Prior to joining HPI, Courtney worked as a General Manager at JLL, managing a portfolio of over 650,000 square feet.
Courtney received her Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Dallas while playing for the Women’s Softball team. She then received her Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M – Commerce. Courtney has her Texas Real Estate License. She is active in the industry as a member of BOMA Greater Dallas and is currently serving on the Board of Directors.
Outside of work, Courtney enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Violet and Bennson, and is an avid Dallas Stars fan.
Lia joined HPI in 2021 and is the Property Manager at Veritex Bank in Dallas, TX. Her career in property management began in 2012 managing over 1M square feet of office space in Addison for almost 10 years.
Lia completed her Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Arlington with a concentration in Finance and Real Estate. Lia is working to obtain her Real Estate License and is an active member of BOMA Dallas.
Outside of the office, Lia enjoys every moment of being a mother of her 3 children Jasper, Jagger, and Vivienne. Lia spends her time in the pool with the kids (weather permitting with the Texas heat), tending to her indoor plants or catching a date night with her husband Jason when they can secure a sitter.
Kent Lance is a founding partner of HPI and its most accomplished broker. After eights years of success with Trammell Crow Company, Kent co-founded HPI in 1992 with two other Trammell executives. With Kent’s leadership, HPI has grown from a four-person development firm to a full-service real estate firm with over 150 employees; offices in Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio; and an active portfolio of over 15 million square feet of office, industrial, and retail product. In those twenty-five years, Kent and his partners have overseen over $3 Billion in office and industrial development in Central Texas. Today, Kent is actively involved in all aspects of HPI’s business, from marketing and leasing to capital investments to multi-family. Prior to co-founding HPI, Kent served as Marketing Principal and as the Industrial Project Partner for Trammell Crow Company. During this time, Kent earned several Trammell Crow National Leasing Awards, all of which are a testament to his sharp negotiating skills.
A Houston native, Rick made his way to Austin, as many do, by way of The University of Texas. After receiving his degree from the McCombs School of Business, Rick decided to make Austin his permanent home to be part of Austin’s growth and take advantage of the many great opportunities that the City of Austin has to offer. In his time as a student, Rick served as an intern for the HPI Tenant Advisors team, paving his way to becoming a full-time member of the HPITA team after graduating in the Spring of 2021.
Currently a member of the CBA and Texas Exes, Rick is actively involved in the commercial real estate and business communities both in and out of the office. In his free time, Rick loves spending time outdoors, whether that be hunting, fishing, golfing, or at DKR cheering on his Longhorns.
Debbie is a 30-year experienced property manager, who joined HPI in 2008. She oversees a six-person team that manages a four-building, 622,000 SF Class A office park consisting of three office buildings and one office/retail center. Her responsibilities include financial reporting and planning, budgets, operating expense control, and capital expenditures. Debbie is also involved in small to large tenant finish projects ranging from $10,000 to $4 MM. As a General Manager, she also takes on a leadership role which includes training assistant managers to become great property managers. With customer service being her priority, Debbie and her team have a track record of going above and beyond to build strong relationships with both tenants and ownership. This has led to strong trust and competency from her clients.
As the Dallas Partner, Hunter is responsible for overseeing Dallas’ day-to-day operations and business developments including property acquisition, development, and operations, with a focus on office and industrial assets. Hunter joined HPI in July of 2015 and has been responsible for overseeing HPI’s office leasing and management services in Dallas since then, and has also been involved in sourcing office investments in the DFW Metroplex. Since the inception of the Dallas office, Hunter has been instrumental in HPI’s growth from 3 employees to almost 70 employees as of October 2022. He is an active member of Watermark Community Church, and is a steering committee member of The Real Estate Council’s Programs Committee. Prior to joining HPI, Hunter was with CBRE for over five years. Hunter was born and raised in Canyon, Texas before attending Baylor University. He resides in central Dallas with his wife Tayler, their son Meyer and their daughter Sloan.
Since beginning his commercial real estate career in 2013, J.D. has quickly become a top broker in Austin, Texas. J.D. is regularly recognized as a CoStar Power Broker and an ABJ Commercial Real Estate Heavy Hitter. As Senior Vice President of Office Leasing, J.D.’s focus is representing clients and owners in positioning assets to succeed through disposition. He takes great pride in his vast knowledge of the business, competitive nature, and passion for serving his clients. During his time with HPI, J.D. has executed nearly $1 billion in transactions, most notably being a 330,000 sf lease to Indeed at Domain Tower and a 265,000 sf lease to Visa at Research Park Plaza 1 & 2. In addition to his current leasing role, J.D. will be responsible for furthering HPI’s relationship with existing clientele as well as business development.
Cortland, originally from Augusta, GA, attended Wake Forest University on a golf scholarship. After college, he spent time as a tour professional, including competing in the 2009 U.S. Open. Since 2012, Cortland has completed more than 250 lease transactions for some of Austin’s most well known and fastest growing companies, including RetailMeNot, H-E-B, and Tiff’s Treats. In his time with HPI Tenant Advisors, Cortland has consistently been listed on Costar’s Power Broker and ABJ’s Heavy Hitter Lists, and continues to expand the HPITA tenant representation business by developing office space strategies for a growing number of companies including technology, law firms, financial institutions, and healthcare.
Cortland is actively involved in the Commercial Brokers Association of Austin, the Real Estate Council of Austin, and the Wake Forest Deacon Club.
Meagan Marroquin joined HPI in 2018. She holds the esteemed Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management as well as the Real Property Administrator (RPA®) from the Building Owners and Managers Institute. She is also a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Texas. She currently manages the prestigious Summit at Lantana portfolio in Southwest Austin. Meagan provides a full range of property management services with a focus on tenant and client relations. She is responsible for the day-to-day management and operations, financial reporting, vendor management, tenant construction oversight and managing capital improvements. She offers a hands-on property management style with commitment to tenant retention and exceptional customer service. Meagan is known as a relationship builder and trusted business partner offering the strategic insights that drive value while reducing costs and risks. She is committed to the value proposition of making both tenants and owners successful with their investments and understands the critical components of the property management process.
Alaina joined HPI in 2020. She currently manages Douglas Center in Dallas, TX and has been an integral part of the operations and tenant engagement experience at this assignment. Alaina provides a full range of property management services with a focus on tenant and client relations. She is responsible for the day-to-day management and operations, financial reporting, tenant, and vendor management. Alaina displays a hands-on management style with a strong commitment to tenant retention, creative thinking, and exceptional customer service.
Originally from Dallas, Cole made his way to Austin as a student at The University of Texas. During his time at the University of Texas, Cole was an active member of several university organizations including the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Men’s Club Soccer team, and a Student Manager for the Women’s D1 Soccer team. During Cole’s senior year he became an intern with the PGA TOUR/WGC – Dell Technologies Match Play and would go on to work for the PGA TOUR for three and a half years running the sales efforts for the WGC – Dell Technologies Match Play hosted at Austin Country Club. Now, as a member of the Tenant Advisors team, Cole exclusively represents tenants with their office and industrial facility needs. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time playing golf, watching college football, and hanging with friends and family.
From small towns in West Texas, Case McCoy found his way to Austin after deciding to attend the University of Texas. While earning his degree and real estate certification from the University of Texas, he also served as the team captain of the football team where he honed his skills as a leader and competitor.
Since beginning his commercial real estate career in 2014, Case has quickly become a top broker in Austin, Texas. After becoming the youngest broker named on the Top 10 Power Broker list, he has continued to solidify his place on this list, most recently being named the #2 Power Broker. Case focuses on negotiating leases for large tech companies, law firms, and professional services. He takes great pride in his vast knowledge of the business, competitive nature, and passion for serving his clients, giving him the opportunity to command his clients’ real estate process and allow them to focus on growing their own business operations. Through this process, Case has become one of the most efficient and effective Tenant Advisors in Austin.
Traci joined HPI in May 2011. As Controller, Traci is responsible for establishing and monitoring all accounting and financial reporting controls, as well as handling HPI’s treasury management responsibilities. Her team prepares and provides monthly reports to the property owners making sure that all reports meet the quality and consistency standards of HPI. Traci is a Certified Property Accountant, and member of the Texas Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. Prior to joining HPI in 2011, she worked for Sendera Investment Group, reviewing prepared monthly financials for multi-family projects owned jointly with national partners, managing cash flow for those properties, facilitating annual audits and tax return preparation, and preparing monthly distribution schedules for national partners. She earned her BBA in Accounting from Southwest Texas State University.
As a key part of HPI’s Industrial team, Jordan is heavily involved in project leasing & marketing, acquisitions & dispositions, and new developments. Jordan joined HPI in April of 2019, building on a real estate career that started in 2013 at a local commercial firm – where she was involved in retail and land acquisitions, asset management, and commercial accounting. Jordan obtained her bachelor’s degree from Northeastern State University. She is actively involved in Habitat for Humanity, the Alzheimer’s Association, and the Commercial Brokers Association of Austin. Jordan is an avid golfer, traveler, and concertgoer.
LaTanya joined HPI in January 2015. As a Senior Property Manager with over 14 years of management experience, LaTanya is responsible for the daily operations, financial reporting, preparation of operating budgets, annual reconciliations, tenant construction oversight, managing capital improvements and focusing on tenant/client relations. She currently manages a mixed portfolio totaling over 500,000 SF which includes five industrial buildings, three office buildings, and a restaurant. Additionally, she is an active member of (IREM) Institute of Real Estate Management.
Clint joined HPI in 2019 and brings over 18 years of construction and project management experience to the HPI team. He is responsible for planning and executing the day to day portfolio of office, industrial and asset capital improvement projects. Before joining HPI, he worked for a local general contractor, owned his own tenant finish out construction company, and helped grow Central Texas through his management role at a regional utility provider. Clint has an MBA from St. Edward’s University and holds a PMP certification.
Laure joined HPI in July 2017. As an Operations Assistant, she is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of HPI, supporting the Human Resource Department, and supporting the larger operations team.
With 8+ years of experience in commercial real estate and event management, Jordan comes to HPI with a Tenant & Employee Relations background. Jordan has overseen the planning and execution of various events, tours, builds and activities for tenants and clients at multiple properties. These events include happy hours, wellness programs, holiday parties, and networking sessions. Jordan has also been responsible for the communication and feedback between tenants and Property Management, ensuring all around satisfaction and loyalty. Some of the skills that Jordan has used and developed in her role include teamwork, creativity, resilience, styling, and loyalty. With a degree in Merchandising and Marketing from Oklahoma State University, Jordan is passionate about creating memorable and enjoyable experience for people through her work. With an in-depth training through the Ritz Carlton White Glove Service Department, Jordan has a unique opportunity to bring new ways to enhance the culture and communication of every client, tenant, and employee we all come in to contact with and continue to deliver exceptional service and value to all.
Mary Jane Orosco has been with HPI since its founding in November 1992. As Executive Office Manager, Mary Jane is responsible for assisting HPI’s founding partners with the day-to-day operations of HPI. With experience in all product types, investments, acquisitions, and developments, she has been instrumental to HPI’s growth over the past twenty-six years. Prior to HPI, Mary Jane worked with the founding partners at Trammell Crow Company in Austin for five years. Mary Jane is a true Austin local, wife, mother of one, and grandmother of two.
Jeff Pace leads the HPI Tenant Advisory team. His diverse real estate experience in leasing, development, investment sales and asset management enable creative and flexible client solutions.
Jeff has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate. During this time he has negotiated leases representing over 8 million square feet valued in excess of $1.4 billion. Additionally, Jeff has overseen the acquisition/disposition of over 3 million square feet of office projects valued over $600 million, the development of our 2.5 million square feet of Class “A” office projects and provided asset management oversight for 6 million square feet of office projects.
Throughout his career, Jeff has served as both principal and advisor, assisting institutional, corporate and other real estate companies on their real estate strategies.
