J.D. joined the office leasing team four years ago specializing in office lease transactions for HPI and third party clients ranging from institutional investors to local property owners. J.D.’s focal point is geared towards business development in addition to customer service for existing clients and tenants. J.D. continues to be actively involved in the brokerage community as evidenced by being voted to join the Commercial Brokers Association board by his peers. Prior to joining HPI, J.D. hosted a sport talk radio show for ESPN Austin. Originally from Amarillo, J.D. attended the University of Texas at Austin earning his B.S. in Communication Studies while playing basketball for the Longhorns.

Prior to joining HPI, Chris was an esteemed agent at Jim Lake Companies in Dallas where he was responsible for leasing one million square feet of office, industrial, and mixed-use product. Chris graduated Cum Laude from TCU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and a Minor in Spanish. While in college he competed as a collegiate tennis player at Duke University and later at TCU ranking in the Top 25 doubles player in the country. As the Office Project Partner, Richard is responsible for overseeing HPI’s Austin office portfolio. To date, he has been instrumental in the development and lease execution of over 1 MM square feet of Class A office assets. As a fifteen year veteran of HPI, Richard has consistently been recognized as a leader among the Austin brokerage community. He has the skill-set and knowledge to perform at every level, and the experience to serve both large, institutional investors (Invesco, Spear Street Capital, Prudential and TA Realty) to local property owners. Before joining HPI in September 2002, Richard worked for five years as a sales manager in the high-tech industry. From 1995 through 1997, he worked for a property management company in Teton Village in Jackson, Wyoming. Richard is a Houston native and earned a degree in business administration from the University of Texas in Austin.
